Teaching Assistants (SEND)
About the Role
Five Education is looking for compassionate teaching assistants to support students with special needs in North Somerset schools starting September 2025. These roles involve working 1:1 or in small groups, fostering academic and personal development for students with diverse needs. Experience is not required, making this an ideal opportunity for psychology graduates or those with a care background.
Responsibilities
- Support students 1:1 and in small groups.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Help students develop social and self-regulation skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet individual needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour through praise.
Requirements
- Empathetic and patient with a strong interest in supporting children.
- Able to work Monday-Friday, term time only.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Two recent references covering the last two years.
- Up-to-date DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Compensation
Pay is processed through PAYE with no hidden fees. The rate includes holiday pay and will be discussed during the application process.
Location & Schedule
Positions are available in schools around the Chew Valley area of North Somerset, Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:30.
