About the Role

Main Duties Assist with the clinical management of the department, maintaining high standards of nursing practice and

promoting the philosophy of patient and family centred care. Ensuring effective communication is maintained. Function at

experienced nurse level, able to make effective decisions autonomously / independently without supervision and in

partnership with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Act as a team leader / co-ordinator and role model

for the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of a high standard of evidence-based care to patients and providing support

for all staff on the unit. Participate in projects within the unit and represent the department at appropriate Trust
