About the Role
Join the Tissue Viability Team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust as a Theatre Practitioner/ODP specializing in Recovery and Anaesthetics. This 10-month secondment offers a chance to enhance patient care through expert wound management and education. Ideal candidates will have experience with various wounds and skin conditions, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality care and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessment and management for various wounds.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver expert clinical care across Bristol and Weston sites.
- Promote prevention of pressure damage through education.
- Support Trust policies on tissue viability and wound management.
- Contribute to teaching and training for staff and patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Requirements
- Registered nurse with proven commitment to teaching.
- Strong organization and management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing service needs.

Compensation
To be discussed based on experience and qualifications.
Location & Schedule
Primarily based at Weston Hospital, with one day per week at the Bristol site.
