About the Role

Join the Tissue Viability Team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust as a Theatre Practitioner/ODP specializing in Recovery and Anaesthetics. This 10-month secondment offers a chance to enhance patient care through expert wound management and education. Ideal candidates will have experience with various wounds and skin conditions, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist assessment and management for various wounds.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver expert clinical care across Bristol and Weston sites.
  • Promote prevention of pressure damage through education.
  • Support Trust policies on tissue viability and wound management.
  • Contribute to teaching and training for staff and patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Registered nurse with proven commitment to teaching.
  • Strong organization and management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing service needs.

Compensation

To be discussed based on experience and qualifications.

Location & Schedule

Primarily based at Weston Hospital, with one day per week at the Bristol site.
