About the Role
Assessment, prioritisation and scheduling of patients from in-patient wards and day case waiting list for the insertion
of vascular access device To insert and remove medium/long-term VADs such as midlines, PICC, Hickman and Portacaths
Follow-up of patients post line insertion and supporting clinical areas in the management of all longer term vascular
access devices (VAD) Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of evidenced based nursing care in relation to VAD
management and access To provide specialist advice and work closely with all members of the multi professional teams
throughout UHCW NHS Trust in relation to VAD management and access To review and update the Trust VAD protocols To
