Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist

About the Role

This role will work closely with key areas of the Trust, forging close working relationships with the Trust

interventional consultants, visiting consultants from the Cancer Centres, the Medical and Cancer Teams and the

Specialist Palliative Care team. Work closely with MDT in tertiary referral centres.Provide vital information,

signposting, and psychological support (must have advanced communication training) to cancer patients about their

disease, treatments, and other holistic impacts e.g financial, psychosocial, lifestyle change, smoking cessation advice

financial, undertaking full holistic needs assessment and developing personalised care and support plans. It is
