About the Role
Key responsibilities The following are the core responsibilities of an Urgent Care Practitioner. There may be occasions
when there is a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent on factors such as workload, staffing
levels and direction of the Clinical Team or Manager: Independently assess, diagnose, treat, refer, signpost and
discharge patients and service users Provide specialist advice relating to minor illness and/or injury Provide routine
care to patients, as required, in accordance with clinical based evidence and NICE guidelines Ensure clinical treatment
is safe, effective and conducted within the boundaries of competence, and to acknowledge limitations Undertake telephone
