About the Role

AMU is a varied, fast-paced, dynamic Emergency Assessment Unit for Medicine. We have a high turnover of patients as we

take our own direct emergency admissions from GPs, clinics and A&E. We assess and admit patients from nine medical

specialties including general medicine, respiratory, cardiology, oncology and gastroenterology and are committed to

providing the highest standard of care for our patients. AMU is divided into four parts a Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)

clinic and 3 main inpatient areas (AMUH, AMUI and AMUK)
