Ward Sister / Charge Nurse

About the Role

The Ward Sister/Charge Nurse plays a key role in the provision of specialist palliative and supportive care, putting

patients and their families first and going the extra mile to deliver first-class care. The role is an integral part of

the multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with other healthcare providers to ensure the highest standards of

care are maintained. Responsibilities include supporting the team to meet the hospices aims and objectives within the

policy framework, and carrying out clinical, managerial, and educational duties in accordance with hospice policies,

procedures, and standards, and the NMC Code.
