About the Role
POST: Ward Sister/Charge Nurse (IPU) ACCOUNTABLE TO: IPU Manager JOB PURPOSE: Toact as a nominated deputy to the IPU
Manager and, in their absence, to liaise with senior management at all levels on matters pertaining to the IPU as
appropriate. To attend delegated meetings in the absence of the IPU Manager, both internal and external to Phyllis
Tuckwell Hospice, as the senior representative of the In-Patient Unit (IPU). To provide effective leadership and
management, developing and supporting the team in accordance with PTs values. To co-ordinate the team of registered
nurses and health care assistants on the IPU in the delivery of the highest standards of individualised holistic patient
