Young Adult Carer Support Worker

About the Role

Young Adult Carers are young people aged between 16 and 25 who help to look after a parent, sibling or grandparent who

has a disability, illness, a mental health issue, addiction, or frailty. Providing unpaid care for someone can be

rewarding, but it can also be a huge responsibility that can affect other areas of a person’s life, such as, education,

family life and their own health and wellbeing.

In this role you will support young adult carers to identify their needs, develop a Young Carers Statement or a Young

Adult Carer Support Plan and provide any support identified by the young adult carer to ensure they are protected from
